Trainee Heritage Building Craftsman
Our client is a diverse contracting company based near Chelmsford in Essex who work across Essex and Suffolk and into Cambridge, Kent, Hertfordshire and East and North London.
They have two vacancies for Trainee Heritage Building Craftsmen within their Church Works department who carry out a variety of conservation and restoration projects on churches, cathedrals and ancient buildings.
The successful candidates are likely to already have some experience within the construction industry, have a passion for historic buildings and are looking to use their existing knowledge and skills to advance their career in the sector.
The positions are for two places on the company’s new 18-month long heritage development programme which is a specially structured internal training scheme built around an externally assessed NVQ together with in-house, externally accredited, modules to become a qualified and skilled Heritage Craftsman.
On successful completion of the training scheme the candidates will have a varied and valuable skill set and continue to work on many interesting and varied church projects with the real prospect of further training and internal promotion.
