SHEQ Manager
Our client is looking for a competent and experienced SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Manager to join their long established, family run manufacturing company that conducts on-site installation work for the Water Companies and general Industry. The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, laws, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SHEQ systems and processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Conduct and manage risk assessments and develop risk management strategies.
- Conduct SHEQ audits, inspections, and investigations, and provide guidance and support to management and staff to address identified issues.
- Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs to employees and contractors.
- Ensure that incidents, accidents, and near-misses are reported, investigated, and properly documented, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies, customers, suppliers, and contractors, as required.
- Keep up to date with new developments and emerging trends in SHEQ management
- Ensure that the company's SHEQ performance is regularly monitored, measured, and reported to senior management.
- Manage compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, including 3 yearly renewals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in SHEQ management
- Strong knowledge of SHEQ laws, regulations, and standards
- Experience in developing and implementing SHEQ policies, procedures, and programs.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate staff, and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Professional SHEQ certifications (e.g., NEBOSH,).
- Construction site experience beneficial
Salary will be competitive and negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
