Avenue Farm - Retail Assistant

We are an award-winning Hospice providing supportive and palliative care for our patients, their families and carers across South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds.

We offer a diverse range of services including nursing and therapies in our Day Hospice, 24/7 Hospice at Home, Counselling and Family Support Services and bespoke services for young people, including a children's bereavement service, support for young carers and support for 16-24 year olds with a life limiting illness.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Assistant for our Avenue Farm Furniture and Homeware Store in Stratford-upon-Avon. Your job will be vital in helping the shop meet its income targets by continuing to achieve high standards of customer service, exciting visual merchandising and consistent stock rotation.

You will support the shop management team on the shop floor and sorting areas to deliver a fantastic supporter experience for our donors and customers.

Your main duties will include;

  • Greeting customers and donors and make them feel welcome
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and comfortable shop floor
  • Be attentive to customers and donors, providing answers to any questions
  • Supporting with sorting of donations and goods
  • Restocking items that are running low and maintain the Hospice's shop standards
  • Assist with stock counts and placement of new products, including new in-store or window displays
  • Cash Handling and payment processes

Our ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, detail orientated and enthusiastic about our charitable objectives.

Please note due to the nature of stock involved, the role will involve heavy lifting & manual handling.

Salary: 10,425 per annum ( 17,375 per annum pro rata)

Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week over 3 days. Flexible rota basis (Monday- Saturday). Overtime opportunities available
