The role:To finish prep patterns and moulds to the highest standards, using various hand tools.
Key Accountabilities: - Final preparation of patterns and moulds.
- Using a variety of hand tools, small air tools and abrasive paper hand finish master patterns to the highest of standards.
- Spray sealer to patterns then post spraying preparation.
- Work to drawings and working instructions.
- Help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Keep all equipment maintained.
- Ensure the department is kept clean and tidy.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience - Previous experience in a pattern shop or similar environment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail is essential.
- Able to follow work instructions.
- Good awareness of health and safety.
- Good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Used to working in a fast-moving environment.
- Flexible approach to whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Problem Solving skills.
Further Information: - Working hours are 8.00 am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
- Overtime available subject to work schedule - at excellent overtime rates
