HR Administrator

Leeds 9

Our client is a leading national menswear retailer and wholesaler. They are looking to strengthen their HR Team by recruiting an experienced HR Administrator.

About the role

As the HR Administrator you will be working with the HR Coordinator supporting 200 plus employees, both based at their Leeds Head office and at sites throughout the UK

The ideal candidate will should be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude, have a continuous improvement mind set and be a fantastic team player with great interpersonal skills, be able to work independently in a timely and efficient manner.  Also, a keen attitude and good communication skills would be an advantage

Day-to-day duties and responsibilities include:-

Payroll

  • Collating and checking manual timesheets
  • Manual calculations of commission payments
  • Payroll Processing
  • Database maintenance
  • Assisting with the day-to-day payroll functions

HR

  • Maintain staff holiday records
  • Responsible for sickness logging and reconciling back to works
  • Preparation Branch rota reports
  • Performance managements recording
  • Assisting with new starters and leaver processes

Essential skills

  • Previous experience of working in a similar HR role
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy – problem solving skills
  • Polite telephone manner
  • A proactive and process-driven approach
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Team player who works well meeting daily demands
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel

Preferred skills

  • Payroll software experience – Sage preferable including Sage HR package
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel

Further role details

  • Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm
  • Holidays – 20 days per annum (rising to 26 after 2 years)
  • Staff discount scheme available for company purchases
