Federation Premises Administrator

4/5 days per week, 40 weeks Term Time

Salary: Grade E.

£24,012 - £27,014 per annum

 

 

About us:

 

The Stoke Hill Federation is made up of Stoke Hill Infant and Nursery School and Stoke Hill Junior School.  The Federation has an Executive Headteacher and both schools have their own Head of School but share a governing body.  We are a diverse federation, looking after and educating children and families from all around the world. The schools work closely together to achieve the best outcomes for all the children and families that are part of our community and our partnership with parents is of the utmost importance to us.

Both schools have beautiful grounds, with well-established outdoor teaching areas, woodland and large playing fields. As much learning as possible happens outdoors, and the children are taught to love, care for and appreciate their environment and the world around them.

 

We are looking to recruit a Federation Premises Administrator with immediate effect.

 

 

About the role:

 

 

  • Providing premises administration across the Federation.

     

  • Overseeing all health and safety matters including risk assessments and all premises management, including procuring contracts.

     

  • You will be line manager to all premises and catering staff.

     

  • You will report to the Federation Business Manager and work alongside them to produce efficient bid writing for grants to help to enrich the schools and their grounds. 

     

  • Experience in health and safety matters would be desirable although training is available for the right candidate.

     

  • The hours will be worked over 4/5 days. A flexible approach to working patterns may be needed during busy times. The hours will be worked over 40 weeks term time which include 5 training days and an allocation of hours to be used during those busy periods.

 

 

About you:

 

  • Proactive approach to Health and Safety

     

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows

     

  • Proven experience of working in a busy office environment

     

  • Proven experience of the use of emails.

     

  • Good front of house/telephone manner.

     

  • Able to communicate well verbally with children, parents and visitors.

     

  • Ability to be flexible in approach to work and to work under pressure/meet various deadlines.

     

  • Able to be flexible in meeting the needs of the admin team.

     

  • Ability to work in a busy school environment.

     

  • Tactful and considerate.

     

  • Able to maintain confidentiality.

     

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
