What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Distribution Center Administrative Assistant to oversee the daily operations of our Nottingham Warehouse. As a  Distribution Center Administrative Assistant, you will report to the Director of Distribution Centres.

What would you be doing?

  • Responsible for ordering supplies for the DC and ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Ensure standards for quality and health and safety are met
  • Compliance with warehouse policies and procedures (e.g. shipments, safety standards, stocking)
  • Manage communication with the staffing agency on temporary staff, staffing requirements etc. as needed
  • Manage sanitation worker and temporary staff schedules
  • Perform administrative tasks; including preparation, research, review & oversee projects assigned
  • Coordinate special events, workshops, meetings, and schedules
  • Book hotels and travel for other team members
  • Access and locate visitors to the right person/destination
  • Opening mail
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

What skills and qualifications do you need?

  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to navigate between several modules/programs
  • Effective time management and communication skills
  • Relevant education OR equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain is an asset
